Dr. Peter Upex
Dr. Peter Upex studied at René Descartes University in Paris and then completed his residency at the Paris University Hospitals.
He was a surgical fellow for 2 years at the Saint Antoine Hospital in Paris and has been practising as an attending since 2018 as at the Paris Saint Joseph Hospital, the leading ESPIC in France.
He specializes in prosthetic surgery of the hip and knee as well as their complex reconstructions with bone loss of mechanical, traumatic or infectious origin.
He also specializes in trauma surgery for pelvic and acetabular lesions, for which he participates in the development of less invasive techniques with new technologies such as intraoperative scanning-coupled navigation (OARM), 3D printing and endoscopy.
He was also trained in Hand Surgery and microsurgery and participated in the creation of the Paris Maussins Hand Unit within the Maussins-Nollet Clinic where he takes care of urgent and non-urgent hand pathologies.
